DROVER mapping, developed by Verterra, was originally designed to streamline the process of tracking water quality improvements through grazing practice changes. But we've discovered it does so much more.
The mapped outputs show water quality progress but also offer valuable insights into ground cover changes over time. Plus, they help pinpoint areas most at risk of erosion, guiding more informed, sustainable grazing strategies. We have recently taken steps to calculate rainfall utilisation and quantify nutrient savings attached to sediment savings.
The attached image shows water use over a grazing property: green indicates efficient use, while red signals inefficiency. Want to learn more? Reach out and let’s chat!
